Week Five Streaming Results
Titans – 8 points
Panthers – 9 points
49ers – 3 points
Both the Titans and Panthers put up good showings this week. The Panthers have now put up 3 out of 4 good weeks with the dud coming in week 2 against the Falcons. They’re now above streaming ownership percentage but if you have them I’d consider keeping them for the next 3, possibly 4, weeks depending on how Jameis Winston plays with the Buccaneers.
Packers vs 49ers
Easiest pick of the week. The Packers will be at home and facing a 49ers team without Jimmy Garropolo, most likely without Matt Breida, and a hobbled Marquis Goodwin. The Pack feasted on rookie Josh Allen and the Bills two weeks ago at home posting a gaudy 21 points and now face C.J. Beathard and company who just surrendered 17 fantasy points to the lowly Cardinals.
Dolphins vs Bears
Through 5 weeks the Dolphins defense has quietly put up 3 double digit fantasy performances against the Titans, Jets, and Bengals. They’ll get the Bears at home who have surrendered 9 points to the Packers, and 8 to both the Seahawks and Cardinals. The Bears lit up the Buccaneers but then again, who hasn’t? This game also has one of the lowest projected over unders at just 42.
Jets vs Colts
Luck is starting to look like himself and is getting the ball out quickly but in a deep league I’d take a look at the Jets this week. They’re at home and the Colts may be missing a bunch of key guys on their defense. If they are and this game starts to get away from the Colts the Jets can key in on the passing game and use their blitzing scheme to ratchet up the pressure. They have shown that potential posting 25 and 10 points in weeks 1 and 2 so it’s definitely in play.
